London calling...

Videos from our trip yesterday! :) Caution: Very random! ;)

'Maybe its because I'm a Londoner'...

This morning I woke up and was VERY nervous :s because I had my first driving lesson, but it was soooo much fun! Could not steer properly at first (:S lol) but I think I got the hang of it in the end. I'm not on the roads at the moment I'm over the Cardrome, which I feel much happier about :)

Last night was really fun, some people from my old school went round to Michael's house for a BBQ which was very nice and then he drove us around in his car, because he's just passed his test :D

After my driving lesson, I had arranged with some friends to go into town for a night out :) Me, Amy and Madison went to 'TGI Fridays' in Leister Square which was VERY nice! We played the game 'What people are thinking' :) You had to be there to find it funny lol.

We then walked around London for a while and took many snappages :)
It was such a fun night!

I can't wait until two weeks time... Its the Harry Potter Premiere :D :D

OH WOW!

I haven't really got much planned for today, just a nice chill day :D

Busy, Busy, Busy...

This week has been quite a busy week with college. On Monday we had our normal lessons starting our A2 work (I can't believe how quickly this year has gone!) and it was my Mum's birthday :)

(This cake was lovely!)

Then on Tuesday afternoon me and the girlies went to the cinema to see 'The Hangover'. It was soooooo good! ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS! 'Tigers like pepper, they hate cinnamon'. This line had me and Sophie laughing for about 5 minutes!

After this we went to the pub for a family thing of Sophie's and ended up taking a lot of pictures (as you do!)

Wednesday consisted of a University open day at my college. It was really interesting and had a lot of different Universities there so I picked up 9 prospectuses just to scroll through! Although I think I now know which 5 I want to put down on my UCAS form :)

Thursday I wasn't planning on doing anything apart from homework, but in the afternoon as we have had a lot of days off of college this week, I did my homework and then went to Lakeside with Sophie, Ambra and Charlotte :) It was really good and I only spent 60p on a 'Galaxy'! So proud.

Today I helped out at college helping the new intake with some Health and Social activities. I can't believe how much it rained though! I got drenched by the time I got to college, the weather does look a bit better now. I hope it stays sunny as I'm going to a BBQ at Michael's today and it needs to be nice and hot! :D

Tomorrow I'm starting my driving lessons over the 'car drome' :s I'm feeling excited at the thought of learning how to drive but I'm also already extremely nervous, as I don't even know how to start a car! But I suppose this is all a learning experience. In the evening I'm going to the O2 for a meal with Madi and Amy! Should be really good!

On that note I am going to make myself some lunch, and watch Wimbledon! I love Wimbledon, I went once when I was at senior school and had such a laugh, what an experience it was. Lasts years final was brilliant! Lets hope its just as good, if not better this year!

'Now it's time for the news...'

As usual I went round to Madison's house last night, which was hilarious! As it was raining we decided we would do some filming which started off with us planning on doing a weather forecast; however after some intense thinking we changed our mind and started doing a sketch show (Very random! but extremely entertaining ;) It was such a good night! Madison's mum Tracy even made us cakes :) (YUM!!) Her cakes really are lovely, they were little pretty cupcakes, all different decorations, they were so pretty I didn't want to eat them! But I did because they smelt and tasted too good!
Today I'm not planning on doing too much to be honest, I've got to do some homework a bit later and then I'm going to dust and hover my room (thrilling job!) 'Top gear' starts again tonight which I'm looking forward to and 'Casualty 1909', such good programmes. So yeah, that's my plans for today!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone! :D

Love and cupcakes,

Potrobello Road

Yesterday me and some friends had the day off of college due to 'individual interiviews' so we decided to go to London and try out somewhere different to where we usually go which consits of Covent Garden, St. James Park, Buckingham Palace, Soldiers ;), and Westminster. We thought we would try out Portobello Road, because they have a really good Vintage Market there. When we got there we waited for some friends who were following us up and walked down to the market. Madi found some really cute little compact mirrors which we bought.
(Picture below)

We did some looking around and found this really good shop, but the clothes were like £200-300 and just little out of our price range :s

Lunch time consisted of us migrating over to our second home again (St. James Park) where we bought a panini and had the ledgendry 'chocolate chip ice cream' or in Sophie's words 'Chocolate Shard', because the chips are ABSOLUTLEY MASSIVE!

It was a really good day and the weather was even nice, except it was colder than we had expected, so there we were in the middle of London with our dresses on or shorts, sandals, sun glasses and no cardigans and it did get a tad cold ;D
Today I went to Thanxted with my parents which was nice. It's only a little village but my mum's really into art and they have a textile exhition there every now and then. We had ,lunch in a restaurant called 'Parishes' and then went for a wander. I dropped my cardigan at one point and was like 'Where's it gone?!', any way the panic was over when I saw it on the ground just up the road. Phew! :)

I'm off to Madison's tonight which shall be fun! and then it's fathers day tomorrow.

Love and sunshine,

Kirsty .x.

'Ohh Romeo, Romeo'

Hi again, sorry I haven't blogged for a little while as I've been quite busy at College. Anyway back to the blogging world...
Yesterday I went to see 'Romeo and Juliet' in the park with my parents and Madison :) It was really good! I've never read the whole book and so wasn't sure of some of the more tiny details, but now I understand. I thought the acting was good except the person who played 'Romeo' was slightly over the top, which made me and Madi laugh :s haha! This then made us laugh even more to see each other laugh and so we had to do some very heavy breathing techniques to stop ourselves from bursting out laughing.

As it was so windy yesterday half of the set fell down which was funny at the time, but when Juliet sat down on the bed I was so scared that the bed was going to fall on her (Thankfully it didn't! Phew!)

As we were getting out of the car yesterday we turned around to see 'Mercutio' stepping out of his car in his Shakespearean costume which was slightly surreal lol.

Anyway, the evening was great and I'm glad Madi feels happier now as she was very upset during the day! I send her lots and lots of hugs! :D

I'm looking forward to tomorrow because Me, Madi, Dawn, Debra, Sophie and Ambra are going to Portobello Road to the Vintage Market :) Should be fun!

Love and Laughs,

Back to College!

I went back to College today which I was really happy about because now I'm starting to get a bit bored sitting at home. I'm also starting my A2 work now which is so scary but I'm really looking forward to it. After Double Health and Social Care I had a baguette outside whilst it was sunny, with my friends at lunch time (I've missed those baguettes so much these last 2 weeks!). Debra decided that she felt like going to Romford, so after College we went there on the bus but oh my! How much it rained, it felt like we were under a waterfall on the bus at one point! With thunder and lightening every where. The road got quite flooded. Well once we got under cover we did our usual shopping but I'm pleased to announce that I was able to put a bar of chocolate down and resist the temptation of even picking one up when I walked into 'Thornton's', now that's a task! :)
I actually bought a new dress today (another dress? I here you say) but it is a lovely dress. Its always good to have a look in charity shops to see what you can find! The dress really reminds me of summer!

Little chief goes to southend!!

This weekend I've been quite busy actually. Today my mum wanted to go and see an art exhibition and talk to the artist so we drove up to Southend. After an hour! of waiting :), we were going to go and have fish and chips on the beach (which is what you have to do in the summer and when your by the sea! lol) but for some reason it was really busy! Probably because its the first time in ages that the sun has been out for a whole day here in England :). So on the way back we decided to stop in 'The Little Chief' which I have not been in for ages! It was so nice. Scampi and chips with peas yum!! The Chocolate fudge cake for dessert!! I tell you something though, I'm not eating too much this week, I have eaten out 3 days in a row which has been nice but wooo! haha.

I just had to take a picture next to the legendary restaurant. :)

A meal, a party and a Uni induction!

Last night was really fun! Me and the girls decided we would go for a meal at a new restaurant that has recently opened in Hornchurch :) Its called 'Ask Italian'. I don't know if anyone else has ever been, but it is soo nice! I had a Margaretta pizza which was lovely but I must say the pasta that some of my other friends had looked delicious :P
Anyway after we had eaten the scrumptious meal :D Madi invited us all to her families party :) It was really good, we sat outside most of the night and talked (Us girls like to gossip! :D) Madison's mum made such a nice set of cakes! The picture above was a chocolate cake that she made and I had a bit and wow! It was sooooooo nice! :)
After a nice night out on Friday I had to be up fairly early to go to a University induction day, it was really interesting. I went to look at South bank and because I want to be a children's nurse I went to talk to the member of staff about the course and watched a presentation! It really looks interesting and I HOPE I get into a university like South bank because it seems to have a lot to offer!
As my parents came with me, we went to the Tate modern to have a look around and to have a meal. I had a cheese burger which was lovely! (As you can see I'm having a healthy few days in the food criteria :s haha)
I got this really good book about different fashions from all over the world, its called 'What I wore today' Really good pictures I'd recommend it!
Anyhoo I'm off to make my tea!

The day when it was sunny!

When I woke up this morning I looked outside to see rainclouds and grey skies but since about 3:45pm the weather has taken a turn for the better and it is now surprisingly nice and sunny! :D

So I went straight outside with my camera to capture this rare opportunity before it goes away again. I'm almost hot sitting here writing this blog! :o

My cat decided that he'd have a nice sunbathe to stamp the occasion as well.

I love it when its sunny, it makes people feel so much happier (I know it makes me anyhoo)! Don't get me wrong, I mean I really enjoy winter because I get to wear hats more often ;) but sunshine can just brighten up a person's day like that!
Please stay here sun! :)

Popcorn!

Well last night we went to see 'X-Men: Wolverine' which was quite good, however I was not happy that Dominic Monaghan's Character got bumped off in the first 15 minutes, I mean that beautiful face would have made the film so much more enjoyable :D However, after getting a bit scared (Oh yeah, if you don't know me I get scared at horror films or anything remotely scary!) and you look past the rather pointless ending the film was quite good but slightly sad :( Anyhoo, it was a really good night out with the girlie's so I can't complain!

Today I wasn't really planning to do much but I decided to go into Romford with my friend Sophie. I'm quite proud of myself, I only bought a bag for £5 and resisted the temptation of buying any DVDs (Which I must say was very hard indeed!)

As you can see in the picture me and Soph decided to make some popcorn (which was sooooooo yum!) We also watched 'Mamma Mia' and had a good old sing-song.

As you know my goal is to learn how to cook for the summer so I cooked 'Shepard's Pie' (all that is left to be said is my presentation skills on the cooking front really need to be improved muchly :S)

I'm quite looking forward to going back to college because I hate to admit it but I'm getting a bit
bored just lazing around my house.

I've just started reading a book atm which is by Sophie Kinsella called 'Remember Me?' its really good and so funny! Bit cringy in parts but most books are to an extent!

My plans for tomorrow are to go into college for about an hour to get some help with my Maths work and then have a nice relaxing day! :)
I might even dust my room :o (Now that really is shocking!)

I'm looking forward to Friday as me and my friends as going to Ask Italian for a nice meal to celebrate the end of exams for the summer! :)

Ciao .x.

The day of communications!

Hi again!
Well today I had my communications exam, its only a key skills exam but I still want to do well at it as it gives you 20 more ucas points. In the morning I was really rather nervous but it wasn't as bad as I thought but I don't know how I did yet.
I'm looking forward to tonight as I'm going to Dawn's house which is so funny and I get to see Poppy! Her cat, shes so cute!
I'm hoping to do some volunteer work over the summer and so I have sent of some emails!
OMG! Did anyone watch Ashes to Ashes last night!?!? How amaze was that! It was almost of clever as LOST, and that's clever! I love Alex Drake she is so funny and Gene Hunt! 'Shall I give you a slap, will that wake you up?'- Gene Hunt, Ashes to Ashes.
If you haven't watched it yet and you intend to, look away now.........
I thought the ending was such a clever twist the fact that she is still in a comma in 1982 as well as just regaining her consciousness in 2009. Ohhhhhh its clever!
Me and my family have a theory that Summers was the infection which had to be fought off and that Gene Hunt was the white blood cells which helped her to get better... You never know!
I'm so glad that they left the ending open so that another series could be made! I hope they make a new one!

Other great news! Hotel Babylon is coming back! LOVE IT! :)

Any way I be off now because other wise you will never get me to shut up! lol

Ciao! .x.

Monday, 8 June 2009

OK, so because I've got my maths keys skills exam on Friday I thought I'd better give a few questions a go because I've never been very good at Maths and I really don't enjoy it! But any way what can ya do! I've got my Communications key skill exam which I am doing as an extra to my Health and Social AS level because the teachers thought it would be a good idea to help the whole class get extra Ucas points for Uni but considering we have only had about 6 hours of learning this subject its quite difficult to revise it. I'm very happy that I've had my main exams out of the way now but these silly little ones which have been sprung on us as extras are just ANNOYING!
I'm not doing much else today but tomorrow afternoon I'm going round my friend Dawn's house for the evening which should be fun! :)
Not too long until I go on holiday now :) Dorset and Center Parcs! Can't wait.
As I said in one of my other blog entries my goal for the long summer is to learn how to cook and I have also decided now that because I am coming up to 18 I need to learn to drive and help more around the house! So that's my aims for the long (hopefully) hot summer ahead!

Bye! .x.

Kirsty's Kitchen

Well today I thought I'd make some chocolate cakes because I've decided that my goal for the long summer ahead is to learn how to cook delicious foods, because to be honest I'm not too good at the moment!
I haven't tried them yet but they look quite nice so I'll be looking forward to eating them later :)
My dogs decided to watch me make the cakes! :)

London and Madison's house :)

Yesterday was soooooo much fun! Like normal me Ambra and Madison did our usual trip to London which was a nice end of exams treat! We went to the normal spots: Covent Garden, Waterstones, St.James Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster and we even took a trip to platform 9 3/4 :) I even tried to show Madi and Ambra how to navigate their way around the London underground which they are starting to get :) I shall make them a map 1 day ;)
Ambra's quote of the day:
Kirsty: 'Do you like bananas?'
Ambra: 'They make me gag, but I eat them' haha! :)
After London I went round to Madi's and we watched old holiday videos and pictures, making me really wanting to go on holiday! We also took some rather random pictures :)
It was such an enjoyable day and we shall defo do it again soon.
I'm actually feeling the fibe to go to the 'Ask' restaurant in Hornchurch on Friday, so may arrange to do that with the dudes :)
Today I am planning to have a nice relaxed day with no revision, may tidy my room later (shock!) and watching the Apprentice tonight! Kate to win!
Love and cakes,
Kirsty .x.

Katy Perry!

Katy Perry

:)

Katy Perry's music and style is just AMAZING!? Every time I go into a shop and I see a dress that is remotely like a vintage dress I'm like 'Its a Katy Perry dress!' Shes so cool.

I've been listening to her album constantly. I mean she seems like a really down to earth girl and in the celebrity industry I think that's kind of hard to come by.

I didn't even realise but I have very similar glasses to her :D Katy Perry ROCKS!

Laura's 21st! :)

Hi again,
I went to Laura's 21st Party on Saturday night which was BRILLIANT! We danced all night and now my legs hurt haha!
Myself and Madi tried to include beautiful George Lambs name into every song which actually went quite well haha ;)
You gotta love dancing and going to parties with your friends haven't you :) Always such a laugh!
Happy Birthday Laura! :D
Well, since Saturday I have been revising MAJORLY because I have 3 exams in the next 2 days, I hope they go well!
I'm going to London with the dudes over the weekend (Like normal) which should be fun and a nice treat! More pictures to come ;)
