The Pretty Reckless

Hi everyone,

Wow, it's been ages since I've posted on my blog! But I thought since I have 4 days off I would sit and write a post :)

Since I've last posted I've passed my A-Levels, passed my driving test, met some amazing people and started University.

Well recently I have started my nursing course at university. I've met some really nice friends there, but I'm still not sure how much I like Uni. I'm hoping its all just a process of getting used to it and its structure. I'm also hoping I'll enjoy the course more when I start my placement.

I'm really happy though because my Uni friend Shakira and I got tickets to 'The Jingle Bell Ball', which is a pop concert held by Capital FM (A London Radio station) in London, in December time. I can't wait to go! :) Lots of really good bands are playing which I can't wait for! :D

One of my favourite bands, The Pretty Reckless won't be playing there, but I'm hoping they make it big in the UK soon so I can go to one of their concerts. Their al
bum is so good! I always have it in my car :) I love Taylor Momsen's voice and fashion! She always looks so amazing in all her videos! I hope they put on a big concert here in London soon! :)

Anyway I better go and do some studying since this is reading week and so far all I've done is about an hours worth of Maths (Not my favourite subject in the world)!

Speak to you all soon! Hope you're all well! :)

Exams are over! :)

I can't actually believe how quickly my college life has gone! It literally seems like yesterday that I started at Havering Sixth Form College. College has definitely been an experience with some really brilliant times, and some not so good; however, I have met some of the best people in my life through college and I hope they will stay friends forever.

Whilst I've been at college I've had such an amazing time both inside and especially outside college with all the friends I've met and made. Who would have thought that within two years you could meet and become closer to a group of people than people you've known practically your whole life. I will miss college even though I used to moan about it sometimes.

All my A-level exams finished on Thursday so on Friday night (last night) we went down to our local pub, 'The Harrow'. I love the garden at the Harrow and since the weather is so warm it was really nice to sit outside with a group of friends to laugh and chat.

Some of my friends stayed over last night and I've literally just got up, but now I'm at that stage where I'm thinking how do I wake them up without throwing water over them ;)

I hope everyone is well and having a beautiful start to the summer.

All I can say is roll on Summer! :)

Tim Burton is a genius!

Wow!

Yesterday I went to see Alice in Wonderland with my friend Madison and it was sooooo good, it was unreal! I loved it! :)

I've been wanting to see it for ages so when it started I got all excited! (haha) We went to see it in 3D which was even more amazing! The way Tim Burton had put together the film was beautiful and all the actors were so good at their parts!
If you have not seen it I would definitely recommend it and in 3d! :)

It was such a random day yesterday (all the best days are) after the film Madison and I were walking back to my house, when we past the Harvester and decided to have a spontaneous lunch ;) (haha, it was so funny)! Then after that one of my friends drove us to his house and then back to another friends house where Johal tried to find out what his birthday present was by tickling me and trying to grab my phone! I am such a ticklish person it is unreal and so one minute I was sitting on the bed and then the next I was on the floor! (haha) :)

It was such a good day, I really enjoyed it! :)

P.S. I also got an Alice in Wonderland bracelet (honest I'm not a geek ;)

Smiles all around :)

Wow! I'm sooo happy, because yesterday I found out that I have gained an unconditional offer from Southbank University to study Children's Nursing! :) I'm soooo happy words can not describe! :)
I can not wait to start in September 2010! :) I have to get sooo many injections! (haha) I think its the first time I've actually been excited about having injections :)

Last Friday I started my work experience, which is in a nursery. It is unbelievably cute and I love it! I was with all the little babies which was really nice because I haven't worked with children below the age of 4 before :)

I also got my Blackberry last Friday as well, I really love it, and it means I look at people's blogs on my phone! Wowowow! :)

On Tuesday it was one of my best friends 18th so tonight we are all going to a club called 'Lakota', it should be good. Its so good that more of my friends are turning 18 now, it means we can do more things, like go to the pub :)
Tomorrow its Sophie's actual birthday party and I am REALLY looking forward to that. I will be posting pictures soon :)

I hope everyone is having a GREAT week! :)

Presenting Miss America...

Wowowowow! I had such a great time on Friday night! It was sooooooo much fun and was such a laugh! Thank you so much for throwing such a fabulous party Miss Giddings! :)

As most of you know Madison's party was a fancy dress and people had to go as something to do with the letter 'M'. Madison went as Miss America, I went as Maid Marian, Dawn as Marie Antoinette, Sophie went as Mrs Incredible, Ambra, Charlotte and Charlotte went as the 3 musketeers, Billy went as Mr Incredible, Martin as a magician, Greg as a tube of mustard (you get the general idea :)

To cut the story short it was brilliant and I am now going to leave you with some pictures, most of which I look very bad in I do apologise in advance! aha :)

Enjoy... :)

Happy Birthday Madison! :)

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Madison, Happy Birthday to you! :)I thought I would write a blog post today because it is my best friend Madison's birthday! :) She has just turned 18 and we are all going round her house later for a birthday treat :)

It's her party on Friday and everyone has to go dressed up as something to do with the letter 'M' and I'm going as Maid Marion :) I can't wait!

I've known Madzy since I started Sixth Form College and she is one of my best friends. We always have such a laugh together and our regular trips to London never get any where near boring, they are always soo much fun!

I hope she has a lovely 18th Birthday, Party and Year :)

Peggy Sue Got Married :)

I would just like to thank everyone for the lovely comments that they write on my blog. I love reading them, its lovely to see that people enjoy reading my blog :)

Today I have got the day off of college, so I thought I would take the time to have a nice relaxing day. I'm going to practice for my university interview later as well.
On Friday I went to my friend Josh's 18th and it was really good, except for the fact that we had to wait 1 hour for our cab! However, the actual party was brilliant! and I think he had a good birthday :)

(Please don't ask me what we are doing here :s haha)

***
At the moment I'm watching one of my favourite films, 'Peggy Sue Got Married'. I don't know if anyone else has watched it but it really is funny. It's about a woman who is getting a divorce from her high-school sweetheart and she goes to her school Reunion with her daughter. Whilst she is there she faints. When she wakes up again she has travelled back in time to when she was a teenager in the 1960s. She sees all her friends again and tries to resolve the troubles that she has acquired in the future; mainly between her and Charlie. She becomes really good friends with Richard who tries to send her back to the 1980s, but there are certain things that get in the way. In the end she wakes up in hospital where Charlie is sitting by her side. Whilst she has been to the 1960s, she has changed an aspect of her past so that her marriage has the chance to be resolved.

If you like light-hearted comedy's, which has really lovely clothes in it, I would recommend watching it :) It is much better than I have described :D

Some of the dresses that Peggy and her friends wear are soooooo lovely! The colours are really pretty! :)

Another film that I love is 'Mermaids' with Cher, Winona Rider and Christina Ricci in it. It is quite an old film but again the early 1960s style clothes are beautiful. I'll write about this film in another post, I think :)
I hope every ones week is going well :)

Love,
